What Is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the grandfather of psychotherapy and it has been practiced throughout the history of human kind to treat illness and discomfort. The Celts practiced hypnosis, in Egypt people got healed in sleep temples. Primitive tribes had Shamans to use healing suggestions to remove influences responsible for illness. 

Contrary to popular belief, the hypnotic state is a naturally occuring phenomenon, similar to a state of deep relaxation. Many people don't realise they are in hypnosis until they come out of it, kind of when you find yourself daydreaming, you usually notice afterwards. 

Hypnotherapy - Does it work?

In hypnosis the subconscious mind is accessed to achieve deep changes about our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is not a magic pill, as with anything it requires you putting effort in but doing the inner work with hypnosis does bring the best results. Think about it, which garden looks better, the one where you have done all the prep work and pulled out the weeds, or the one you keep adding more stuff to it hoping that it will grow one day. 

In a deep and relaxing state the analysing part of the brain fades away and this allows us to look athe presenting issue with a new perspective. It's much easier to find the root cause and resolve it when you don't hear the chattering mind's words echoing in your head.
In this relaxing state your mind is also really great at visualisation, seeing, feeling and experiencing the desired outcome. It's like having a vision board but your mind actually thinks that those pictures are true and starts coming up with ways to get you there. When you have a park of idea that came out of nowhere - that nowhere is your subconscious mind, so in hypnosis these solution searching mechanism is turned right up.
 
When using RTT® tools in hypnosis, its results are even more powerful due to the fact that RTT is a combination of Hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT Psychotherapy and Neuroscience.

I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist, a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapist® and a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapy® Practitioner. I was trained by Marisa Peer, one of the world's leading Hypnotherapists and founder of Rapid Transformational Therapy®.
